Producers who may be eligible for assistance under the Market Facilitation Program (MFP) should apply for the program and certify production as soon as possible. Following the resolution of the recent government shutdown, Agriculture Secretary Secretary Perdue announced that the deadline to apply for MFP, which had originally had a deadline in January, was extended to February 14.
Producers must ensure they have applied and certified production by the Feb. 14 deadline.
